Flea (Michael Balzary), the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers fame has begun to follow suit with Anthony Kiedis, who wrote the famous Scar Tissue autobiography.
Although there is no current book title or release date, the book has been picked up by Grand Central Publishing.
The book is expected to be less of a bean spill and more a chronicle of Flea's upbringing in Melbourne, Australia and his move to California, where he broke loose and became immersed in music and a bohemian lifestyle. “I love literature deeply. I view books as sacred things, and in writing my story, I’m going to do my best to honor the form that has played such a huge part in shaping who I am,” Flea said.
On that note, perhaps the book will reveal a bit less than Flea's live performances in the 90s did.
